Men’s Guide To Hand Care

So, what have you done for your hands lately? A proper hand care routine can really help reduce age spots, fine lines, eczema and enhance your overall impression. Follow these five easy grooming tips and go put your best hand forward!

1. CLEAN & SOAK
Good days start with a clean slate, or in this case; clean hands. Wash them thoroughly to disinfect and remove any excess dirt and try out a scrub to get rid of dead skin cells. Soak them in a bowl of warm water to soften the nails and nail beds and remember to use a mild soap for extra moisture!

2. GET UNDER THERE
Clean hands also mean fresh nails. Tidy up under each nail with a high-end file and remove any dirt that might be stuck or jammed under your nails or around the corners. Quickly wash your hands again and voilà; instantly more attractive and definitely more sanitary.

3. TRIM UP
A proper manicure is always a good idea! Start off with a cuticle remover to remove any extra grit and a cuticle stick to gently push back your cuticles. Remember; never cut them, they can easily get infected. Use a nail clipper to keep your nails at a length you like and aim to form a nice shape such as oval or square.

4. SMOOTH AND SHINE
After maneuvering any ragged parts, it’s time for some radiance. Use the smoother side of your nail file to soften edges and even out sharp corners. Don’t go back and forth as if you were using a saw, but only one way when buffing. Use a polishing block to lightly buff the surface for that extra sleek shine.

5. HYDRATE AND COAT
Now that your hands are clean and properly groomed, it’s time for some nourishment. Seal the deal by massaging a deeply moisturizing hand cream all over hands and wrists. Add a protective cuticle balm for extra protection and top off with nail serum for a truly good-looking handshake.
